SETH GODIN'S BLOG -  Study groups

If I had to choose one metric that would determine how well someone would do in law school, it wouldn’t be the LSAT or another test. It would be whether or not they formed a study group, and who else was in it.

Of course, the same is true for your project, or any sort of adult learning.

It’s easier than ever to organize a group like this… in fact, we almost have to work hard to avoid it.

The speed of our forward motion is directly related to the velocity of the people around us.

Put another way... CGIB is one big study group. you're a part of that and it's a great start, but only if you show up.

Want to multiply the value tenfold?

Start a small subgroup. It might be a channel on Slack where you and others are active on a specific topic, maybe it's a small off-line group that meets once a month, It could be having a couple "accountability partners" that you support, and that support you. CGIB brings you together, what you do with it, and where you take it is up to you.
